Welcome to my online gallery. I live in Falmouth, Cornwall where I am surrounded by beautiful landscape which is a
great inspiration for my paintings. The coastline around the Falmouth area is part of the southwest coast path
and has many opportunities for painting subjects. There are open beaches and small hidden coves
perfect for
painting; woodland with wonderful colours of leaves in the autumn and bluebells in the spring, and river valleys
and estuaries.
I also love the north coast of Cornwall with its wide open expanses of beach and clifftops, and the hills and moorlands of the inland parts of the county.
Seascapes are one of my favourite subjects to paint as I am very much influenced by the moods of the sea and the weather. I love stormy skies and rough weather and so my really inspirational time for painting the sea is autumn and winter.
I paint mainly with acrylic, but I also use watercolour, inks and pastels. All of my work is original, based on direct observation. I hope you enjoy looking at my paintings. Please just email me if you would like any more details about my work.
